May 12, 2014 路 Posted May 12, 2014. In the Mondeo, it is in the head - this is so the ECU monitors the actual head temprature for the correct fuel- air mixture, it also means if the coolant runs dry it will protect the engine from overheating. so there is not actually a coolant temp sensor - but a head temp sensor. Most modern Fords are the same. Jan 10, 2022 路 Most of the new Ford vehicles have the outside air temperature sensor inside the passenger mirror. I am not sure if the parts diagrams are online at Motorcraft yet but when they are it is a great resource for finding stuff. Edit: It looks like it clips to something so more than likely underhood on the Mav. I could not find any assembly diagrams Dec 16, 2015 路 Warmer temperature, moisture or when it's raining, most of the time it does not work. Owners of Fusions, F-150's and Focus models are all reporting the same thing. It's a design flaw in my opinion that Ford is aware of, I have a report sent from the Tech Hotline to my dealership saying that at the present time, there is "no" fix available. Jan 24, 2013 路 The Focus DCT transmission doesn't have a temperature sensor, instead, it uses a "virtual sensor", an algorithm that monitors electrical energy to each of the 2 clutch actuators, vehicle speed, engine rpm, ambient temperature, etc. The virtual sensor monitors how you are driving and how the clutches are being used. Sep 13, 2019 路 The first thing that you would want to do is locate the fuse for your Focus鈥檚 radiator fan and make sure that it hasn鈥檛 blown. If it is blown, replacing the fuse will only solve the problem for a very limited period of time. Unless the wiring issue is fixed, the fuse will blow again. The wiring harness itself can go bad. Jul 20, 2016 路 Due to the location of the Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor in the RH exterior mirror area it is greatly influenced by heat generated from inside the mirror. For this reason the outside air temperature value displayed in the IPC does not update in the upward (hotter) direction under 33 km/h (20 mph). Jun 11, 2013 路 Posted June 11, 2013. Hello guys, I'm having a bit of a problem with the air con in my 56 focus st it's the dual climate control system. A few months back I got the system regassed due to it not been cool enough. After the regass all was great until a few days later sat at some traffic lights the air con stopped blowing cold. Jan 7, 2016 路 A bad or failing cylinder head temperature sensor may cause performance issues such as a decrease in power, acceleration, and fuel economy. The performance issues may be only slightly noticeable in the beginning, but will get worse as time goes on. 3. Check Engine Light comes on. Another symptom of a bad or failing coolant temperature sensor is Oct 20, 2009 路 "Hello there, I work for Ford Climate supplier for the 2010 Fusion, MKZ and Milan models and trust me, it is not possible to get OAT (outside ambient temperature) display just because the climate control head is not designed to (no sensor connector or SW exists on this model), the only sensor this climate module have is EVAP (evaporator sensor Dec 16, 2020 路 After sitting for hours, it is the same as installing a new sensor as described below from the WSM: Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) Sensor. The Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) sensor is an input to the PCM. If the outside air temperature is below approximately 0掳C (32掳F), the PCM does not allow the A/C compressor clutch to engage. The PCM sends 4uNJqQm.
